I enjoy Zelda as much as the next person, and yes, it had a great soundtrack. It's a nice melody, of course, and I'm sure that's why you chose it for a Newgrounds song.
However, I've heard too many things that were almost exactly the same as this, and several that were much better. This really isn't much of a "remix" of the song; in fact, it's the exact same song, with new instruments, and a small trill here and there. This is nothing new.
If you really want to do something interesting, try a change of rhythm, a new instrument beyond the happy annoying bells and flutes that everyone uses, or something entirely unexpected.

One of the few NG artists who makes long songs that are worth listening all the way through, as always. Nice job on this one. I have to say, for a 7 minute song, this was unfortunately one of your slightly more repetitive songs, and the bass began to get to me by the end; however, out of curiosity, is there someplace you have your songs in slightly higher quality, or is this the best version you have?
Author's Response:
How did the bass get to you?
I do have a 320kbps version, but it's not online. (It's 16MB.)
I didn't think this song was all that repetitive...is it annoying-repetitive? >.<

Reminiscent of "Sexy Bitch" in the way the bass seems to bounce with the vocals. This is a really sweet start to a song, and I think I'd probably put it onto my iPod even if all you did to it was made it loop well; beyond that, I could see some nice rhythm changes on this, similar to the way you put together "Taboo."

Sometimes when you're making a remix, it's not even about how well you can make music: it's all about the choice of the base song. And that you did perfectly.
I've always loved this song, each little trill and such, since I first got my N64, and have wanted to hear it improved for a long time. Then, I found this.
Not only is it one of the songs I'd been looking for the hardest, it is also remixed by one of my favorite NG artists. Faved, 5ed, DLed, memorized, all that good stuff. Nice.

Faved, etc. You share a similar style with Karko and xKore that I really love listening to; the bass has the perfect kick, and then the ambient sounds make it worth listening to along with the full melody. Keep it up.

Quite a fun, upbeat song. However, I thought you could have done a better job on some of the mastering.
Author's Response:
Indeed, the overall tone of this mix is rather muddy and it hasn't been maximised. Glad you like it, nonetheless :)

A tad repetitive; however, nice choice of instruments. I have to say it would probably be much better if you included an instro of some sort and had it mastered a little more realistically.
Author's Response:
Thanks.
Yes, I am having the problem that I uasully repeat things over and over again, as I myself like it. I lack in melodic scenes and variety and when I try them for a moment, they sound sucky in my ears. The song is made to loop itself, so on purpose I didn't put any intro's or outro's into it.
But your comment becomes handy. Thanks.

Nice layering, a great choice of instruments. This is one of those songs that I wish would have been a little longer; I guess my only suggestion would be making the percussion a little more powerful in spots.
Author's Response:
thanks for the feedback, I'll take note of the percussion needing to be louder. As for the length of it, the guy I'm writing for is looking for cues about 1 minute in length. If that weren't the case I would definitely make this longer. Thanks again, good points!

For a loop, there really wasn't much to this. 3 seconds long is horribly short, and the treble was much too high-pitched. Listening to this for too long gave me a slight headache.

It's nice playing on your par;, however, the fact that you simply played a pre-existing piece and changed very few things made it not quite as appealing for me. It seems very little originality is required here, no offense.
